Meet Andre Kenstowicz
Key Projects Manager, Vitro Architectural GlassAndre Kenstowicz likes to think big. That’s exactly what he gets to do as Vitro’s key projects manager.
“Large projects are exciting,” he said. “It motivates me to witness the creative design of memorable structures that will be around for decades.”
A 10-year Vitro veteran, Andre previously served as a National Architectural Manager (NAM) and Commercial Account Manager (CAM). In each of those roles, Andre spent a lot of time learning about Vitro’s array of products, processes, systems and, of course, customers.
“My most valuable and informative experience at Vitro was in customer service,” Andre said. “Then, as a NAM and CAM, I collaborated with key project decision makers, from architects to fabricators to glazing contractors and more.”
Now, as key projects manager, Andre is able to compile all his previous experience into a common goal of achieving large project success. He supports customers who are working with large quantities of glass for large-scale, complex projects to gain a better understanding of the challenges they face.
“Experiencing the hard work and creativity of architects, façade consultants, general contractors, glazing contractors and glass fabricators as they work together to achieve a successful finished product is the most rewarding part of my job,” he said.
One project – Richards Boulevard Office Complex in Sacramento, California – is one of Andre’s recent favorites. Designed by ZGF Architects, the building features 330,000 square feet of Solarban® 72 Acuity™ glass. The glass was fabricated by Glassfab Tempering Services and glazed by Architectural Glass & Aluminum (AGA). “Those four towers at Richards Boulevard are stunning,” Andre said. “They highlight the clarity of Acuity™ low-iron glass in Northern California.”

When he’s not helping photograph and promote innovative Solarban® glass projects, Andre values spending time with his family and friends, as well as getting outside and playing several different sports.
“My Pittsburgh family and friends play an important role in my life,” Andre said. “I also love playing basketball, attempting to play golf, and watching the Steelers.”
With more large-scale projects on the way, Andre looks forward to promoting a diverse portfolio of completed Solarban® glass structures in 2023 and beyond.
